Correction of drooping eyelids
What is congenital ptosis correction?
Congenital ptosis is a condition in which the eyelids droop lower than normal, affecting vision as well as the aesthetics of the eyes.
People with congenital ptosis can have one or both eyes, but most often one eye is affected more.
This is considered a disease (paralysis of the blepharoplasty muscle), usually patients need to be treated early between the ages of 10-15, because the older they get, the more difficult it is to intervene in tightening the eyelid muscles.
Subjects indicated for surgery
Congenital ptosis has 4 levels, depending on each level, the doctor will apply appropriate surgery:
Level 1: the eye droops down, covering part of the pupil
Level 2: the eye droops deeper, covering close to the center of the pupil
Level 3: the eye droops severely, covering the center of the pupil
Level 4: the eye droops very severely, covering the entire pupil
